Information we collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name. Sign-in is limited to Google accounts, and new accounts require manual approval before use.
• Usage information: we record how many requests you make and your monthly quota so we can enforce fair-use limits.
• Data you request: when you submit Instagram post or profile links, we fetch publicly available information about those posts and accounts (such as views, likes, comments, shares, approximate reach, post dates, usernames, display names, and follower counts) and store the results in your account so you can view and export them.

We do not ask for or store passwords (sign-in is handled by Google), and we do not collect payment information.

How we use information

We use your information to operate the service: to authenticate you, run the analytics you request, enforce usage limits, maintain your request history, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How data is processed and shared

To run SocialPulse we rely on trusted third-party providers for user authentication, database hosting, and access to publicly available Instagram data through third-party data APIs. These providers process data only to provide their services to us. We share your information with them solely for these purposes, and not for their own marketing.

Data retention

Fetched result data (post insights and follower lookups) is automatically deleted 30 days after it is created. Your account record and usage counters are kept while your account is active.

Your choices

You can stop using the service at any time. Because sign-in is via Google, you can revoke SocialPulse's access from your Google account settings, which also lets you request that your account and stored data be removed.

Instagram / Meta

SocialPulse is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. We only process information that is publicly accessible. All Instagram content and data belong to their respective owners.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including access controls and row-level security, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children

SocialPulse is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
